![]() My hubby ordered the red beans & rice and sausage. I ordered the Coop's Sampler platter which had a bit of everything - jambalaya, fried chicken, gumbo, red beans and rice, and sausage and rabbit. We sat at the bar because the small place was packed. Our first server was friendly and efficient. Granted we visited Coop's Place during the weekend of the Final 4 in New Orleans however, it wasn't their service that left a bad taste in my mouth. This location is the perfect spot to get a classic staple dessert in an indoor setting with a massive window looking out on the river. They are served in a little paper bag, and the trick is to fold the bag, and vigorously shake it so that the powdered sugar is covering every inch of the beignet evenly. They are extremely fresh and warm when served, and they are best enjoyed while still piping hot. These delectable desserts are lightly fried dough topped with a copious amount of powdered sugar. The beignets come in servings of three pieces, and it only cost $3.40 plus tax ($3.72 total). With how expensive it is, if you are looking to take a piece of New Orleans back with you, they sell a mug with coffee for only $6! Their coffees, both hot and frozen, are must haves. There was a decent line, however it moved fast. We went to the location inside the Riverwalk mall as it was easily accessible from our hotel. Café Du Monde has a few locations in the city, and these are hands-down the tastiest desserts you can get. I had to take her to the location serving the best beignets in the city. ![]() My friend hadn’t yet experienced New Orleans beignets. I didn’t get a chance to thank her so THANK YOU!!! She was amazing but it would be even better if they had a system to keep these people in the lobby and serve them outside of the dining area if they wanted to drink.Īside from that our server was great. We mentioned it to one of the servers who was a BOSS and kicked them out “you're going to have to leave now these people are trying to dine!”. It felt like they were intentionally wanting to make us uncomfortable and made me feel awful. Old obnoxious groups of men in tshirts and shorts kept manspreading into our personal space with their sweaty arms and elbows (right into my husbands face) and kept turning over to stare at us - it was really ruining the vibe of an upscale ambiance. Decor and ambiance was lovely however one important feedback item is that random people from outside kept wandering into the bar, which was right next to where we were dining. We also had the half fried chicken brined perfectly and the strawberry panna cotta was perfection. - Best Kept Secrets for Eating Cheap and Eating Well in the French Quarterįood was great, especially the crawfish and cauliflower soup was delicious.Spoon University - These Places To Eat In New Orleans Give You A Taste of Everything.Food Com - On the Road Eats: New Orleans City Guide.America From The Road - 21 Must Eat’s – New Orleans Foodie Bucket List.Oprah Daily - The Famous New Orleans Foods to Add to Your Culinary Bucket List.Southern Trippers - 16 Best Restaurants In New Orleans You Shouldn't Miss. The Tina Lifestyle - 34 Best Restaurants in New Orleans.Eater New Orleans - The Best Restaurants in New Orleans.Yelp - Top 10 Best Restaurants in New Orleans, LA - Last Updated July 2021.Family Destinations Guide - 50 Best Restaurants in New Orleans, LA for 2022 (Top Eats!).AFAR Media - Where to Eat in New Orleans.Indiana Jo - What & Where to Eat in New Orleans.Culture Trip - The 10 Best Restaurants In Downtown New Orleans.Whimsy Soul - 16 Must Eat New Orleans Restaurants For First Time Visitors.Feastio - 10 Best Restaurants in New Orleans.Go City® - Best places to eat in New Orleans.2foodtrippers - 20 Iconic New Orleans Restaurants. ![]() Time Out New Orleans - 15 famous restaurants in New Orleans that are always worth checking out.VacationIdea - 17 Best New Orleans Seafood Restaurants.TripSavvy - 16 Best Restaurants in New Orleans.Thrillist - The 22 Most Essential Food and Drink Experiences in New Orleans.Time Out New Orleans - The 27 best New Orleans restaurants.Condé Nast Traveler - 27 Best Restaurants in New Orleans.
